Installing RotaHub on Mac

After downloading, macOS will show a warning the first time you open RotaHub — this is standard for any app distributed outside the Mac App Store, and isn't a reflection of a problem with RotaHub itself. It happens because Apple's notarization process (a separate, paid step) is still in progress on our end. Here's how to get past it — it only takes a few seconds and only needs doing once:

  1. Open the downloaded file and drag RotaHub into your Applications folder.
  2. Double-click RotaHub to open it. macOS will block it with a warning that it can't verify the app — click Done (not "Move to Trash").
  3. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
  4. Scroll to the Security section. You'll see a message that RotaHub was blocked, with an Open Anyway button next to it — click that.
  5. Enter your Mac password or use Touch ID to confirm.
  6. Double-click RotaHub once more — this time you'll see a simpler confirmation dialog. Click Open, and RotaHub will launch.

You won't need to repeat this — once you've opened it the first time, RotaHub opens normally from then on, just like any other app.
